Ahmed, a life-long Virginian and founder of Authors ice creams, turned his love for ice cream into a passion when he decided to make personalized ice cream flavors for himself to enjoy at home. As the personal commitment began, so did the Covid-19 pandemic.

During this time, his family began sharing ice cream around with family, friends and neighbors to enjoy in their own homes and on the back porch for small outdoor gatherings. Soon they learned their ice cream was loved by many, and Ahmed’s nephew brought his entrepreneurial spirit with the idea to bring their flavors to the local markets for others to try. This became a reality in 2021, with the official launch of Authors.

At Authors, small-batch stories are penned with fresh, premium ingredients for the smoothest, creamiest ice creams. They churn endlessly over flavors that honor the best in season gifts from the earth — thoughtfully sourced at home and globally. Authors ice cream is made at their designated commercial space in Chantilly, Virginia and brought to local farmer’s markets, holiday festivals, and special events.
