here’s to the rock stars of business
workday rock stars
Workday, a cloud-based software company for finance, HR, and planning management, launched one of their biggest campaigns ever during Super Bowl LVII. An ode to the “rock stars of business”, it’s first ever 60-second big-game ad featured rock legends Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Paul Stanley of Kiss, Joan Jett, and Gary Clark Jr. who have worked hard to earn their rock star titles. Throughout the fun ad, they grumpily confront the business world for referring to each other as “rock stars” in their ‘typical’ jobs.
We pre-launched the campaign with a full-page Wall Street Journal ad, and a series of custom vintage-inspired band posters, promoting business-named ‘bands’ such as the CEOs and Chief Financial Officers across social media. Once it was time for the big game spot, we helped tie the campaign together with a new ‘rockified’ Workday logo for the commercial end frame.
