Pivotal Places is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Fort Collins, Colorado. They approach conservation and community resilience uniquely, weaving study abroad, innovative research, and actionable change into a single organization. Working with the Communities and Conservations Study Abroad program through Colorado State University, they provide a platform for students to do on-ground research with their partners abroad. Built on over 20 years of research in the region and annual trips to South Africa, their team has created the community-based organization to help aid in the development of solutions to complex challenges. Their work currently focuses on the Tshulu Trust in the municipality of HaMakuya.

Their rebranding branched from the few assets they had, a logo, and a photographic website. Taking those elements, learning more about their mission and core, it was clear that a natural color palette, distinctive type, and friendly tone would speak best for the organization.
